These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Marbeth website and your participation in any educational programme offered by Marbeth. By submitting an enquiry, enrolling in a programme, or using this website, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Marbeth reserves the right to amend these Terms from time to time. The current version will always be available on this page. Continued participation in our programmes following any revision constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

1. About Marbeth

Marbeth is an educational organisation providing structured reading series and discussion-led workshops on personal finance topics for adults aged 40 and above. We are based at 47 Tras Street, #03-12, Singapore 079010. All programmes are educational in nature and do not constitute financial advice, regulated financial services, or professional consultancy of any kind.

2. Educational Nature of Programmes

All content delivered through Marbeth programmes — including printed materials, session discussions, handouts, and any supplementary resources — is provided for general educational and informational purposes only.

Nothing in our programmes, materials, or communications should be understood as financial advice, investment recommendations, legal advice, or any form of regulated service. Participants are encouraged to consult qualified and appropriately regulated professionals before making any financial, legal, or estate-related decisions.

Marbeth makes no representation regarding the suitability of any information for any individual's specific circumstances.

3. Enrolment and Registration

3.1 Eligibility

Our programmes are designed for adults generally aged 40 and above. Specific programmes may have stated age eligibility requirements, which will be communicated at the time of registration. By enrolling, you confirm that you meet the stated eligibility criteria.

3.2 Registration Process

Enrolment is completed upon receipt of your registration details and confirmation of payment. Places on each programme are limited and are allocated in order of completed registrations.

3.3 Accuracy of Information

You agree to provide accurate and complete information when registering and to notify us promptly of any changes.

4. Fees and Payment

Programme fees are stated in Singapore dollars (SGD) and are inclusive of all materials unless otherwise specified. Current fees are:

• Retirement Readiness Reading Series — S$240
• Household Budget Conversations Workshop — S$180
• Estate and Legacy Planning Literacy Programme — S$870

Payment terms will be communicated at the time of registration. Marbeth reserves the right to adjust programme fees for future cohorts with reasonable notice.

5. Cancellations and Transfers

5.1 Cancellation by Participant

If you wish to withdraw from a programme, please notify us in writing as early as possible. Refund eligibility is as follows:

• Cancellation received 14 or more calendar days before the first session — full refund of programme fees
• Cancellation received between 7 and 13 calendar days before the first session — 50% refund of programme fees
• Cancellation received fewer than 7 calendar days before the first session — no refund

Printed materials that have already been dispatched or collected are non-returnable.

5.2 Transfer to Another Cohort

Subject to availability, participants may request a transfer to a future cohort of the same programme. One transfer per registration is permitted without additional charge, provided the request is made at least 7 days before the first session of the original cohort. Subsequent transfer requests may be subject to an administrative fee.

5.3 Cancellation by Marbeth

Marbeth reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a programme session due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including insufficient enrolment. In such cases, affected participants will be offered a transfer to the next available cohort or a full refund of fees paid.

6. Programme Conduct

All participants are expected to engage with our programmes in a respectful and considerate manner. Our sessions are facilitated in small-group formats, and the quality of the learning environment depends on the conduct of all present.

Marbeth reserves the right to ask a participant to leave a session if their conduct is disruptive or disrespectful to other participants or facilitators. In such cases, no refund will be issued.

Discussion content shared by participants during sessions is treated as confidential within the group. Participants are asked not to record sessions without the written consent of Marbeth and all other participants.

7. Intellectual Property

All written materials, workbooks, session outlines, and other content provided as part of Marbeth programmes are the property of Marbeth and are protected by applicable intellectual property law. These materials are provided for your personal educational use only.

You may not reproduce, distribute, share, or adapt any programme materials without the prior written consent of Marbeth.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Singapore law, Marbeth shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, or consequential loss or damage arising from your participation in our programmes, your reliance on any educational content, or your use of this website.

This limitation does not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

9. Website Use

This website is provided for informational purposes. You agree not to use it for any unlawful purpose, or in any way that could damage the reputation or operation of Marbeth. Marbeth does not warrant that the website will be uninterrupted or error-free.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts.
